Rent A Master Gardener

         THE RENT-A-MASTER GARDENER
             PROGRAM 2011 UPDATE

The Rent-a-Master Gardener program continues to gain momentum. The RMG teams averaged a site visit a week beginning in February!

Among the new faces at RMG were Natalie Bowie, Sheila Drouin, Patricia Battey, Tricia Parnell, Lora Quincy, and George Hull. Many interns from this year’s Master Gardener class came along on site visits and will become valuable team members. Team Leaders Martha Jamison, Deborah Stone, Sandra Educate, Tei Tober, and Pat Lauzon were ably assisted by experienced Master Gardeners Susan Harden, Denise Moore, Carla Dinkle, Patsey Parker, Betty Fenlon and Joe “Grasshopper” Allard.

Some sites were already so beautiful that we wondered why we were called. Others presented challenges that required hours of research. It is estimated that an average of 30 hours was spent on each site visit and report. That’s a huge value for the homeowner. The RMG team wants to make sure that their information is accurate, comprehensive and complete.

Why don’t you come along on some site visits? You’ll benefit just as much as the homeowner. Contact Martha Jamison or Sandra Educate for more information. hmjamison@embarqmail.com silkroad@embarqmail.com.
